English language studentIf students do not meet the minimum English language requirements for their programme, they may choose to enrol in the Swansea University English Language Training Services (ELTS) to improve their English language proficiency.

ICWS offers ‘combined’ packages to students requiring English language preparation with ELTS prior to entering their degree studies at ICWS and Swansea University. All classes are held on the main Swansea University Campus so students enjoy the experience of studying English with access to all the facilities of the University.

Upon successful completion of the appropriate course at ELTS, students are eligible to enter ICWS without any further English tests. ICWS staff are able to offer advice regarding the application process at the time of applying to ICWS.

Students undertake intensive English tuition (25 hours per week) and can expect to improve their English in line with the following table:

IELTS level on entry International Foundation Programme
    (requires IELTS 5.5)
Diploma (requires IELTS 6.0) Pre-Masters Programme
