Swansea University is easily accessible by road, rail, sea and air. Cardiff International Airport is less than an hour away and the M4 motorway, the main east-west arterial route from London, passes through the northern outskirts of Swansea. Swansea railway station is on the main west coast line from London Paddington, less than 3 hours away. There are also frequent ferry crossings from Swansea to Cork in the Republic of Ireland.

How To Get Here by Car

The routes to Swansea are very straightforward.

From London: Take the M4 into Wales through Newport and Cardiff, proceeding on the motorway to Swansea. At Junction 42 leave the motorway and proceed into Swansea on the A483. Once reaching Swansea proceed on the A4067 (Oystermouth Road) towards The Mumbles for approx. 3.5 km. Once you reach Brynmill Lane on your right, you will begin to see the campus also on the right (notably Singleton Abbey). Make the next right into the University at the main gate. A detailed map is provided by the City of Swansea here in PDF format.
